Year 9 Trip to England

From 7th to 13th June, the Year 9 students went on an exciting trip to England. We travelled from Engstingen to Cranbrook, where we stayed with host families for the week. It was a great opportunity to experience everyday life in England and improve our English skills.

The journey to England was very long because we travelled by bus all the way from Germany. On the way there, we crossed the Channel by train, and on the way back, we took the ferry. Even though the journey was tiring, it was worth it.

During the week, we visited many interesting places. One of our first stops was Folkestone, a beautiful seaside town. We also explored the historic city of Canterbury and saw its famous sights.

A highlight of the trip was our visit to London. We enjoyed seeing many of the city's famous landmarks and took a ride on the London Eye, which gave us amazing views over the capital.

Another memorable day was our visit to Beachy Head, where we went on a cliff walk and enjoyed the spectacular scenery. We also spent time at Brighton Pier, where we had fun walking along the seafront and enjoying the lively atmosphere.

In Portsmouth, we visited the Historic Dockyard and learned about Britain's naval history. On our last full day, we went shopping at the large outlet centre in Ashford, where everyone had the chance to buy souvenirs and gifts.

Before leaving England, we made one final stop in Folkestone and said goodbye to the sea.

We had an amazing time throughout the trip. It was not only fun but also a great chance to practise and improve our English.
